About Us

We recognize and appreciate the critical role that small and mid-sized businesses serve in communities and economies across the country.  We founded WhiteHorn Partners with the goal of bringing our energy and passion to those companies while carrying forward their legacy and building upon their success.     

We come from a family with a history of entrepreneurship and success in building and growing businesses.  Both sides of our family have experience with founding, operating, and exiting successful companies.  On our father’s side of the family, our grandfather partnered with his father to build a diversified agriculture and animal health products business known as Babcock Industries.  The business grew from humble beginnings in a small upstate New York community into a global operation with diversified product lines, a network of more than 500 franchisees in 70 countries, and over $100 million in annual system-wide sales before going public and ultimately being acquired by an international conglomerate.  On our mother’s side of the family, our grandfather founded Midwest Television Systems, an early pioneer in consumer electronics specializing in the installation of remote control televisions in hospitals and hotels. The business was taken public and later sold to a large international electronics manufacturer.  Our family’s strong entrepreneurial history continues to inspire us, and we’re excited about the opportunity to continue their legacy of building and growing great businesses.    

Legacy is important to us.  The success of our family’s businesses and the manner in which they were run continue to serve as a foundation for the values we hold today.  Our name, WhiteHorn Partners, was inspired by our grandfather’s poultry business and all that he accomplished in building it.  Our name aims to capture the spirit of our family’s entrepreneurial history and the strong values responsible for their success, while serving as a daily reminder of who we are and where we come from.   

 

Founders

The founders have over a decade of combined principal investing and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) experience at top-tier private equity/investment firms and large public companies.  Prior to founding WhiteHorn Partners, they focused on sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions and investments across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing, business services, consumer, restaurant, retail, energy, financial services, and technology.  They have collectively closed over two dozen transactions, ranging from the acquisitions of small private companies to those of multi-billion dollar public companies.  The founders have significant experience partnering with business owners and senior managers throughout all phases of the transaction process as well as post-transaction to support ongoing management and strategy execution of operating companies.
